About Us

J&C Custom Tooling LLC is a second generation, family-owned company, specializing in tool and die design and build and metal stamping.  Founded in 1977 by Jim Stokesbary, J&C, as it’s affectionately referred to by its many loyal customers, has been providing high-quality services, including tool and die design and build, metal stamping production services, and contract manufacturing.

Based in Southern Minnesota, J&C initially served customers in Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa with the founder as the lone tool maker.  Today, J&C proudly serves customers spanning the United States with three tool makers, two engineers, and a small production team.

J&C is presently owned and operated by Jerry Stokesbary, one of Jim’s sons.  Jerry is a two time graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Business Administration.  In addition to his tool and die experience, Jerry has more than 25 years of manufacturing,  research and design engineering, and management experience.  This experience spans the automotive, consumer electronics, and medical device industries.  With leadership experience in heavy manufacturing, high tech, precision clean room manufacturing, and medical device manufacturing and support services, Jerry can easily relate to J&C’s current customers and is poised to serve the needs of future customers across many different industries.
